This is the conversation I had with the twins last night about technology. They are two very smart kids.
It might be hard for you to believe that in a minute.
Me: When I first got a Blackberry it was text only. I could “sort of” go on the internet with it and check emails and send texts. But, that was pretty much it.
John: Yeah, but you could do Facebook and stuff on it right?
Me: No, Facebook didn’t exist.
… Stunned Silence …
Me: Guys, we got our first computer when I was a sophomore in high school. At that time there was no “internet” or anything. We didn’t have a home internet connection for several years.
Taryn: Why would you have a computer without the internet?
(Insert sound of me smacking my hand to my forehead)
I love them, but some days they make my brain hurt.
I too enjoy when someone has dial up and younger folf freak out when they hear the connection sound ahhahaha!!!
