Brace yourselves, I’m linking up again. I’ll probably do a lot of linking up and maybe even sporadic posting over the next couple weeks. The deployment is approaching fast, just bear with me. Once Dallas leaves I’ll be lonely and you’ll probably all get sick of me.
I wish I could put my fingers together and stop time like that girl from Out Of This World.
Anywho, my friend Jamie over at Chosen Chaos does a Twosday link-up. Two of whatever you’ve got. She’s got twins, I’ve got twins twice.
I have two of almost everything. But today was a bittersweet double when Dallas brought home Battalion Buddies for Reese and Jackson. (Taryn and John got one too, but are way too cool to pose with them!)
The Battalion Buddy is a gift from Operation Gratitude. The purpose of this organization is to boost morale for deployed service men and women, the families they leave behind, and wounded warriors. They send care packages to the service men and women and the Battalion Buddy to their children. This is the tag attached to each stuffed animal.
Since our time is just around the corner, Reese and Jackson now have their Battalion Buddy. Two buddies to help them through the long road ahead.
People always ask me what they can do to help Military Families. I usually don’t have an answer because I suck at life. But if you want to help, go to the Operation Gratitude website, they have better answers than I do.
Sidenote: It appears that Jamie is no longer doing the link up. As Rick Perry would say, oops…

I can’t even imagine how difficult deployment would be but those bears and Operation Gratitude look like a good way to help ease the pain a little.
Thanks. I think the boys like having something to snuggle with that will remind them of Dallas.
That picture is so freakin’ cute! I have never heard of Operation Graditude–must check it out! Thanks for sharing.
I hadn’t either, but it seems like a good organization.
love the pictures. thank you for the website…we were looking for one that really helps…now I have it
You’re welcome:)
What a fine cause. Your boys look pretty danr happy.
They were so happy that I couldn’t get a proper photo, not that I ever can.
Really a great initiative to help families, I really like it.
Don’t worry about blogging, enjoy your time together!
Thanks, I’m trying not to do too much
Oh man, what a great initiative ! I’m here for you when Dallas goes on deployment. I’ll have the wine ready over the computer screen xxx
Sounds perfect!
Awwe, those are lovely. I got goosebumps

Me too.
Oops by me too, sorry lady! We may try it again later. In the meantime I’m a big fan of Operation Gratitude – that’s who organized the Halloween Candy Buy Back I talked about over at my place.
Deep breaths from me for you about deployment.
See, I kept thinking I had heard of them somewhere! I should have known it was my smart friend Jamie!
Thanks for the link to Operations Gratitude – my in-laws are really into giving care packages. Excuse me for sounding like an ignoramus but what’s with the news saying all our service men and women will be home by December?
