Sniff, sniff, sniff…Dallas is gone again. We had an excellent time over R & R and I’m glad he got to come back and visit, but now is the hard part: recovery. It’s emotional and physical. I’ll probably tell you about the real emotional part someday. (Once I figure out how to cope with it.)
The physical part was made loads easier with a little help from my friends Brooke and Sara. The morning after Dallas left they presented me with these fabulous gifts.
I think every Military wife needs them.
Well yes, yes that is Barry Manilow’s Greatest Hits. In record form. No, I don’t own a record player – but it made me smile. Smiling was absolutely necessary the day after Dallas left.
You’re probably wondering what the other gift is. A handkerchief to dry my tears? A scarf to keep me warm on cold nights?
No.
This might help…
I know what you’re thinking. Wouldn’t the draw-string panties with “Let’s Ride” emblazoned on them have been more useful during R & R?
Wrong. Because they also came with this…
And a secret pocket…
Ladies and gentlemen (mostly ladies) I give you the vag pack, for all your post R & R (or weekend away, or drunken night without kids) needs!!
