Liz at A Belle, A Bean, & A Chicago Dog is once again forcing us all to go through the embarrassment of revealing our high school photos. Last year I linked up, it was my first time. Linking up that is – don’t be gross.
I’m kind of a pro now. However, I still haven’t mastered the scanner. I think Dallas embedded special codes in it before he left so I would be frustrated and miss him every time I used it. Well, Mr. Smarty Pants – joke’s on you! Most of these pictures were downloaded from my friends Facebook pages. HA! I showed you.
Here are a few highlights from my high school days…
What, you don’t think a peach string bikini is appropriate? How about the boom box? Who wants to guess if it was playing New Kids On The Block?
Here’s the gang…
I’m the one with my tongue out.
This must have seemed like a good idea at the time…
Matching shirts? 100% Rayon? Yes, yes please.
Let’s move on. This was taken my first year of college…
I’m pretty sure there’s no water in that jello.
That was 1993. Flash forward to 2012.
Today was a busy day. I got up at 6 to see the big kids off to school, get the little kids up, and get them and myself ready for the day. On the way to preschool I stopped at my friend Sara’s to pick up her 18-month-old son, Lucas and my friend Jackie’s 18-month-old daughter, Kinley. I took all four kids into the daycare then took Lucas and Kinley home. I watched Lucas until 9:30. At 10:00 I took Kinley and went to the boys’ preschool for their graduation. I went back to Sara’s and helped her move a coffee table into her house then came home and made lunch for the three little kids. Jackie picked Kinley up around 12:30. After they left I loaded up the boys and went to the commissary. We came home, John helped me unload the groceries, then I went to pick up Taryn from a study group. I ran 4 miles with the dog. I sat down for 20 minutes to ice my crappy, old ankles. Made dinner, cleaned up from dinner. Went to Target to get last-minute teacher gifts. Put the boys to bed.
This is what I look like right now.
So…yeah…
