One Way To Snag A Girlfriend

Posted on September 10, 2012 | by Bridget | 43 Comments

Despite only being in week 3 of kindergarten, Reese and Jackson are quite interested in the ladies. Jackson has a lot of experience in this department, since he had a girlfriend all of last year. He learned the mac daddy trick of having her sit next to him at carpet time. After that she was his girlfriend all year long.

Reese doesn’t have the same kind of swag. He’s shy. A loner. He’s never shown much interest in girls.

He’s five, so that’s totally ok with me.

But now, that seems to be changing. Maybe it is finally being separated from his debonair twin brother, but he wants a girlfriend. He’s talked about girls in his class every day since school started. Well, girls and how well he behaves in class. He’s “the bestest” behaved kid in his class. He always gets a thumbs up in gym class when they jog. He asked me if I knew what jogging was, he said, “it’s like medium running Mommy.”

Obviously, he’s brilliant.

He has a plan to get a girlfriend. It’s foolproof.

He told me all about it today. Get your pencils ready, you’re going to want to write this advice down.

Reese said, “Mommy, when I get pregnant, I’m going to make a girlfriend.”

You’re welcome.
