Despite only being in week 3 of kindergarten, Reese and Jackson are quite interested in the ladies. Jackson has a lot of experience in this department, since he had a girlfriend all of last year. He learned the mac daddy trick of having her sit next to him at carpet time. After that she was his girlfriend all year long.
Reese doesn’t have the same kind of swag. He’s shy. A loner. He’s never shown much interest in girls.
He’s five, so that’s totally ok with me.
But now, that seems to be changing. Maybe it is finally being separated from his debonair twin brother, but he wants a girlfriend. He’s talked about girls in his class every day since school started. Well, girls and how well he behaves in class. He’s “the bestest” behaved kid in his class. He always gets a thumbs up in gym class when they jog. He asked me if I knew what jogging was, he said, “it’s like medium running Mommy.”
Obviously, he’s brilliant.
He has a plan to get a girlfriend. It’s foolproof.
He told me all about it today. Get your pencils ready, you’re going to want to write this advice down.
Reese said, “Mommy, when I get pregnant, I’m going to make a girlfriend.”
You’re welcome.

Haaahaaahaa…SOOOO cute!!! He is definitely brilliant. Obviously takes after his mom.
Your stories almost make me wish I had young ones again. Almost. ;P
Obviously – I was trying to get a new boyfriend, but I wound up with twins instead.
Hahahahahahaha. Best. Plan. Ever.
I’ll let you know if it works out.
Oh, yeah. That’ll work.
I don’t know why it wouldn’t, right?
He is wise beyond his years!
Wise…or psychotic. Same difference.
Hmmmm…I wonder if that’s what I’m making?
Probably. Make sure she has nice manners and likes red wine:)
Interesting concept. He could serenade her with call me maybe.
He does know all the words….
Mind = blown
He’s a genius. It’s a perfect plan.
Amazing. He’s got to get the word out there–this could help a ton of guys.
I’m sure we’ll get a book deal any day now.
Hahaha!! How did you keep a straight face?! Oh how I miss those 5 year old words of wisdom! Life would be so much better if we never outgrew our innocent and simple outlook on it. Thanks for the belly laugh!
I didn’t!! That’s the problem!
Thanks so much for sharing your kids with us. A total delight!
You’re welcome! Thanks for reading about our sillyness!
OH MY GOD ALL I CAN DO IS LAUGH!!!!!!! Brilliant!!
Thanks dude – I can’t wait to read yours!
Nice
He’s crazy!
Love it and I sure he thought it out and has it all planned. Love that boy!!
He’s ready for anything!
Still laughing.
Well, if that doesn’t work you could look up Honey Boo Boo when you get back to GA. She’s a fine example of inbreeding.
This is my favorite comment today. Thanks
Ha ha ha.. Brilliant Reese!

I will. As soon as he makes the girlfriend.
As I said to Kim… way to document this moment, Bridget. This is the stuff of awesome memories! Priceless!
Bahahaha! He’s such a natural with the ladies!
That is just adorable. I hope you keep a notebook of all the cute comments.
Too funny!
Awww, he’d get pregnant for her. My husband, who promised to stay dry with me, honored his promise for about 4 hours. Truly love that Reese.
Sweet! Hahahaha! Your kids are all sorts of awesome genius B!
OMG, I’m dying of laughter here. I know post I’ll be reading when I’m having a laughless day. Thanks for sharing.
