The major birthday session has ended. October is a big month for my family. My mother’s husband, Papa Dale, starts it out with his birthday on October 16. My niece, Lindsey, is October 17. My sister is October 19. My mom and Taryn and John are October 20. My birthday is October 21.
It’s a long month.
My sister lives in Florida. My Mom and Papa Dale live in Tennessee. I live in Alaska. There are lots of cards exchanged this time of year. More than once my sister and I have gotten each other the same card. We even got each other the same gift once.
It happened again this year.
If that wasn’t bad enough. This also happened:

They don’t seem that amused that you got them a matched set of cards. You can chalk it up to great minds think alike!

It was really funny! We loved it!! The pictures look a little somber because it took so many times before you could actually see the cards!

Wait a minute. Wait just one stinking minute. Am I the ONLY person who noticed you and your sister got each other cards to your favorite “aunt?” Why has nobody else noticed this? You are not her AUNT, you are her SISTER! Or am I missing something.

yes kim you missed something. lindsey is my daughter….bridgets niece. taryn and john are my niece and nephew. (moms)(sisters) yes it is all very confusing, even for us!! with all the cards and stamps and addresses i am surprised we havent sent someone the wrong card. hey bridget if john ever gets a card to “nana” just go with it~!! love you!!

Happy belated b-day. Good day, 21 October; my brother’s birthday, as well. We just call anymore. And drive my sister-in-law nuts because our little mannerisms and twitches are the same when we’re together. Even our verbal expressions.
