I’m still recovering from Thursday’s crafting terrorism. It was a hard morning, I barely made it out alive. When I finally escaped Brooke’s claws I picked up the twinkies, some Burger King, and headed to the indoor playground.

I must have looked hungry because the drive-thru girl did not give me the sandwich I ordered.

No, I did not eat that.

On Friday I went to my friend Becky’s house for dinner. I forgot to take pictures, but it was fabulous. Becky made a delicious dinner and I brought dessert. I made a chocolate chip and brownie thing. Half of it went with us to Becky’s and half stayed home with John. (He was down with a cold) Apparently, John felt well enough to have some…

    Why? Just…why…

Despite the threat of more crafting we all went to Brooke’s again this morning for coffee. It’s becoming the hang out. She should charge admission, I’m sure we would all pay. Taryn came along and made a set of ‘PEACE’ blocks.

    She’s crafty.

Reese enjoyed some donuts with a creeper.

I think Brooke is plotting a crafting event with him too. Don’t worry buddy, I’ll protect you.

You probably wouldn’t know it from reading this blog, but it’s been kind of a rough week. Between the apocalyptic snow, a busy schedule, and other drama I was more than ready for the weekend.

Luckily, I have awesome friends to make even the worst problems a little better.

It started at my Thursday morning coffee with a clothing swap/tell-me-how-I-really-look-in-this-event.

Despite being told a pair of jeans I thought were sassy did not look good on my old arse, it was fun. My friend Brooke tried on everything for a Sister Wives impression.

She’s only LDS for the jokes.

On Friday Christin came over for dinner and the kids had a dance party to inappropriate music.

Why yes, those are Reese’s feet on the cabinet. Christin’s sweet daughter was a little scared.

But by the end of the night she was over her fear.

My boys aren’t creepy are they?

Today we went to the indoor playground and bowling with my friend Becky and her family.

(Taryn babysits for Becky, her kids refer to her as Miss Taryn. It makes me cry a little every time they do it.)

Jackson loves bowling. Even if he only knocks down one pin he yells, “Gimme Four!”

Reese, on the other hand, only likes it if he knocks down all the pins.

Ahh…to be in the presence of all these fine athletes.

John bowled a few good games. It called for some Tebowing.

It wound up being a pretty good week. However, there was still a bottle of champagne that I was too sick to drink on New Year’s. There’s just no sense in letting it go to waste. Party foul.

Yes. Yes, I am drinking champagne. By myself. Out of the good crystal. Cheers.
